Mehbooba Daughter Can Meet Her Mother said Supreme Court

Mehbooba Daughter Iltija in her petition at Supreme Court expressed concerns about her mother health. And for the same reason, she wanted to call on in Srinagar. Mehbooba Mufti is under house arrest for one since the abrogation of article 370. She has been kept at Chashmeshai near governor’s residence in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

While hearing the case at Supreme Court CJI Ranjan Gogoi, who is also heading the bench listening to the argument from both sides. From Iltija side her lawyer said she has not met her mother since detention. And she is worried about her health. On which Attorney General K K Venugopal and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the intention of the meeting is something else. Her Grandmother Gulshan Ara and sister Rubaiyya Sayeed have recently visited her and she is perfectly fine.

Moreover, Iltija has also asked to meet her in private. And she confirmed that she had faced no problem when she went to Srinagar at home but was unable to move freely in the city.
After taking the argument from both sides the bench took the decision of allowing her.
Iltija who lives in Chennai is going to fly Srinagar to visit her.
