Batala Fire Cracker Factory Running under Disguise took 23 Lives

Batala, Gurdaspur district on Wednesday suffered huge loss when a blast took place at the fire cracker factory. The intensity or the sound of the blast was so immense that people around the city felt that jolt. The factory was running in the residential area. Now many people are complaining that the company was running illegally. But never took a stand when the incident had not taken place. They were making crackers for the procession of “Nagar Kirtan”. Work was going on at its pace when this unfortunate incident took place.

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has ordered magisterial enquiry. Also, Gurdaspur MP Sunny Deol busy in promoting his son upcoming movie in Mumbai expressed his grief on Twitter. People had given the vote to him overwhelmingly and he has no time to visit his constituency. In his tweet he said

 “Saddened to hear about the news of blast in Batala factory. NDRF teams and local administration have been rushed for the rescue operation,”

The words he chose for the victims seems like someone from his office has twitted that like the feeling of concern seems missing.

Team of NDRF and SDRF (State Disaster relief team) jointly conducted the rescue operation at Batala.

As per recent reports 23 people have lost their life including one of the owners of the factory. And 27 people have suffered injuries.
