Arms Race Government Gave Node to Procure Akash Missile

Arms Race, which has gained pace very much for the last couple of years in south Asia to be honest especially, after the formation of BJP Government is not good for peace. Crores of capital have been spending on the army in the name of threat. At a time when the economy, employment, basic health facilities in the country is suffering PM gave node to but Akash missile worth Rs 5000 crore.   

Cabinet Meeting on security headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a note to but Akash Missile for Air Force. Citing the threat from China and Pakistan government has informed the airforce about the decision. This proposal was in pipeline for the last three years has got clearance now. To increase the firepower and handling adversary planes from the ground government took the decision.

Akash is a cruise missile and can target any plane within its range from the ground. This year while countering PAF after Balakot strike, IAF shot down its own helicopter. In future to avoid such accidents Akash procurement is very necessary. All the crew members lost lives and after six-month inquiry, IAF court marshalled all the five members who were handling the ground attack.
