US – Iran Crisis, Complete Story Line

US – Iran since last year, instead of burying their hatches they are battening it down. And now at present war seems unavoidable.

Especially, after the US blamed Iran of striking down their drone, claiming that it was flying above international waters.

That Iran completely denied and displayed the wreck of the alleged drone in their news channels. Explaining American drone violated their airspace.

This tension further escalates when on “The execution sentence was carried out for Jalal Haji Zavar, a contractor for the defence ministry’s aerospace organization who spied for the CIA and the American government,” words of Iranian military officer to the news agency.

The execution has come at a time when the tension between America and Iran at the verge of war.

Also, America has deployed its aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in Bahrain. Which provides enough power to their policy makes calling strikes on Iran.

Here is the sequence of events, how this tension deepens.

In 2008 FATF (Financial Action Task Force) that mainly look after suspicious financial transaction especially related to terrorism blacklisted alleging they are funding terrorists.

Which brought serious sanctions on Iran.

Staying in it for many years its economy faced many downfalls.

Considering all the outcomes in the year 2015 they cracked a deal with a group of world powers: the P5+1 (the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council—America, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, and China—plus Germany) and the European Union.

In which they agreed that they will reduce their nuclear facilities and accept the additional Protocol if all nuclear-related economic sanctions and banned on tens of billions of dollars in oil revenue and frozen assets will lift off.

Famously known as Iran Nuclear Deal

In 2018, Donald Trump, who is the current president of the United States of America backed out from Iran Nuclear Deal Calling it “decaying and rotten“, he said the deal was “an embarrassment” to him” as a citizen”.

He also mentioned that he will again put sanctions on them. Which was completely against the advice of European allies.

In response to that Iranian administration promised to restart its uranium enrichment, and will focus on both nuclear energy and weapons.

Also, trump administration imposed CAATS Act on Iran which is Countering American Adversaries Through Sanctions Act.

Moreover, America also forced other countries not to buy oil from Iran otherwise America will impose sanctions on them.

India for which Iran was the 3rd biggest supplier of oil also faces the same daunting threats from the United States of America.

For a while, India including China, Italy, Greece, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Turkey got wavier. But not for a long time. Recently America asked India to follow complete restraint from buying oil from Iran. This made Iran more furious.

And after May 2019 the tension between the two countries has reached its peak.
