Sonam Kapoor thanks Malala Yousafzai for watching ‘Neerja’ and liking the film

Sonam Kapoor thanked Pakistani activist and youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai for watching her latest release Neerja. The movie, which displays the real life heroic act of flight attendant – Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life while saving others on the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 in September 1986.

Neerja’s lead actress Sonam Kapoor, who has been heaped with praises for bringing Neerja Bhanot to life on screen, was more than happy to share a picture of Malala at the special screening of the film. Sonam Kapoor, who is glad that Malala liked the film wrote on Instagram, “Malala said ‘I am stronger than fear’ and for #Neerja ‘fear gave her courage! Thank you #MalalaYousafzai for attending a private screening of #Neerja in London. I’m so glad you liked the film.”

Malala, who rooted for women education in Pakistan was shot by a gunman in 2012. She remained unconscious and in critical condition and was later sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, for intensive rehabilitation. Ever since she has sparked international support.

Both, Malala and Neerja have been brave hearts and their bravery has been recognised all over the world.

Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja, also starring Shabana Azmi released last week on February 19 and has collected a whopping Rs 29 crore.
