Rustom First Look: Decorated Officer Akshay and a Question of His Honour

Airlift done, actor Akshay Kumar is back, this time as a dashing naval officer in the first look of his upcoming period film Rustom. #RustomFirstLook has been among the top trends on Twitter since morning.

Akshay, 48, who shared the first poster on Twitter, captioned it, “Decorated officer. Devoted family man. Defending his honour. His name? Rustom. Know his story on August 12.”

Directed by debutant Tinu Suresh Desai, Rustom is reportedly set in the era of the Fifties. “The film is set in the late 1950s and is a pure work of fiction. Rustom is inspired from certain real life incidents that happened in the past and will be shot in India as well as in Britain,” Shital Bhatia of production company Friday Filmworks, earlier told IANS.

Rustom reunites Akshay with his Special 26 and Baby director Neeraj Pandey who has produced the film.
