Indian Hockey set to trill Viewers in Tokyo 2020

Both Men Women qualifies for Tokyo Olympic

Indian Hockey Men and women hockey both have qualified for the Olympic Tokyo 2020. Completely out pass Graham Reid’s men and Sjoerd Marijne’s women in their hockey test event at Tokyo.

Men Hockey Team defeated New Zealand team by 5-0 at Oi Hockey Stadium. On the other hand, women hockey team took revenge of Asian games final defeat by beating Japan from 2-1.

Harmanpreet Singh, the start of the event and Captain of Indian Hockey Team in an interview to Olympic channel stated that

“This is important. We won the final match today but in the league, we lost to New Zealand so it was nice we played well in the final. It’s a sign every guy did his job.”

Men hockey team currently ranked 5th in the world has not won gold since 1980. Eight-time Olympic gold winner has been facing a very tough time. In 2008 they were not able to qualify for the Bejing Olympic. But this time team is looking in very good condition. The synergy between the players is commendable. And after the induction of new coach Graham Reid expectation from the team has also roused.

While Women Hockey team turns the table when Lalremsiami converted the penalty shoots into the goal.
