Detox Recipe

Does your stomach feel like a house on fire, after all those drinks and spicy snacks that you stuffed it with, last night? Want to have something that would cleanse your system of the overload? Try this drink that uses mint and cucumber as its main ingredients.

Cucumber is said to be a rich source of vitamin B and also contains vitamins A,C,D, fiber, foliate and lots of water that help flush out toxins from the body. Mint is known for its soothing affect on stomach and as a digestive aid. Menthol, found in mint is believed to neutralize acidity in stomach.

Try out this easy to make recipe.

Ingredients:

-1 cucumber, finely chopped
-A spring of mint leaves
-Rock salt to taste
-½ tsp roasted cumin powder
-A dash of honey
-Juice of half a lemon

Method:

-In a mixer, blend in cucumber, mint, seasonings and honey.
-Strain.
-Squeeze in the lemon juice and mix well.
-Pour in tall glasses, top with ice-cubes and serve immediately.
