Chidambaram Made Fun of Modi Government Quoting Five Percent

Chidambaram, former finance minister and home minister, who is under CBI custody mocked PM Modi government on the downfall of the economy. Today at court judge instead of sending him to Tihar jail on corruption charges asked CBI on his custody. On which CBI replied with no need but still judge extended his custody till September 5.

Chidambaram can’t apply for bail until he is under CBI custody. He is facing charges on cracking deal in INX media case and had been arrested on 22nd August after prolonged drama on that day.

Since his abduction, he is blaming the government on vendetta politics. He was asking the court to grant him bail or put him under house arrest. On which judge absolutely ignored him. After today hearing when Chidambaram was leaving court premises media person asked him about what he has to say on case. But his only reply was 5% …GDP 5%.

Obviously he is under a lot of pressure and not only he but also Congress party. Today in the evening Enforcement Directorate (ED) officially arrested DK Shivakumar, MLA from Karnataka and known to be capital or fund supplier of the congress party.

On continuous crackdown of congress party leaders, many are seeing it as politics of revenge. Intellectuals are also seeing it as wreaking of opposition which is surely not good news for democracy. BJP led Modi government not very famous for sustaining democracy continuously attacking institutions and opposition.
