Giant Wheel Comes Crashing Down

A 10-year-old girl died after a giant Ferris wheel crashed in a fair in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Six people including three children have sustained serious injuries in the crash.

The incident was reported on Sunday night when a loose screw in the giant wheel came off and the wheel crashed.

According to the reports, people at the fair said that they had noticed the loose bolt and had even alerted the official present at the ground. The official, however, didn’t act as he was drunk.

After the incident, the locals caught the official and beat him up.

The 10-year-old girl has been identified as Amrutha who had gone to the fair organised at a junior college ground in Anantapur. The injured people were immediately taken to Anantapur general hospital.
