Will always remain a Desi Girl, says Priyanka Chopra on Seedhi Baat

In an exclusive interview to India Today’s Managing Editor Rahul Kanwal on Seedhi Baat, Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra today said she will always remain a Desi Girl for her fans.

Speaking from Montreal (in Canada) via video-conference, the actor said language hasn’t been a barrier for her while switching from Bollywood to Hollywood. She said she was born and brought up in a family that speaks both Hindi and English language and hence she has good command over both the languages.

On being questioned on her acting experience in India and foreign soil, Priyanka said it is all most the same except language.

Priyanka said that she has marked a big difference between TV and films.

“One can complete eight scenes in a day for TV while it takes two days to complete only two scenes for a movie” she said.

When questioned on the difference between the two work cultures (in Bollywood and Hollywood), the actor said there isn’t much difference between the two and she is alwys late on the sets by 10-15 minutes.

Priyanka who is busy rehearsing for the big Oscar night said, “I have always worked for self-satisfaction and learnt from my mistakes. It is necessary to move ahead. I have never bothered what people will say. If I were afraid of criticism, I wouldn’t have taken such big risks. One should always try to achieve success. Success is like a journey, I think, my journey has well begun”.
