One of the top-selling cars for Volkswagen India, the Vento received an update in June 2015 when it received cosmetic changes both inside and out. The vehicle’s engine lineup too were tuned to deliver more fuel efficiency. While the petrol engines of the car – 1.6 MPI and 1.2 TSI – got 7 per cent more fuel-efficient, the diesel engine, 1.5-litre TDI – got about 2 more per cent more frugal than before. That said, the power outputs of all the powertrains remained unchanged.
