Udta Punjab box office collections: Shahid, Alia starrer earns Rs 38.30 cr

The most controversial and debated film of the year Udta Punjab directed by Abhishek Chaubey released on June 17 has become the 5th highest opening weekend of 2016. The film managed to establish an emotional connect with the audiences.

The movie got off to a flying start at the box office, specially in North India (Delhi, Punjab), and minted Rs. 10.05 cr. on the first day of its release. On day two the collections saw a growth of 11.94 %. The film witnessed good escalation on Sunday and maintained strong grip in Punjab and Delhi.

On Saturday, the film earned Rs 11.25 cr., while the Sunday collections were of Rs 12.50 cr. On Munday the film minted Rs 4.50 cr., making the total collections of the film Rs 38.30 cr.
