Tamasha box office collection: Deepika-Ranbir’s film has earned this much in 10 days

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s latest box office outing Tamasha hit the screens on November 27. While the film fared well in the first week of its release, Tamasha has slowed down at the box office in Week 2.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Tamasha hasn’t been able to earn much in its second week, thanks to new releases Hate Story 3 and Angry Indian Goddesses. In its first week, Tamasha earned Rs 53.46 crore at the domestic box office. Over the next three days, the film earned another Rs 7.77 crore, taking the 10-day total to Rs 61.23 crore.

Tamasha saw ex-lovers Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor reuniting for the silver screen after their 2013 blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The Ayan Mukerji film had gone on to secure a place for itself in the blockbusters of 2013, a feat that doesn’t quite seem to happening for Tamasha.

Shot in Corsica, Kolkata and Delhi, Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha traced the journey of two people Ved and Tara, and how they handled their dreams, desires and love. The film opened to mixed reviews from critics.
