It’s a world full of options – maybe just too many of it. And yet, it has led to a malaise among the people, especially amongst the youngsters. ‘I’m bored!’ is the constant refrain. If you are one of them, try and turn your world around with the following:

– Acknowledge the boredom in you. Instead do nothing. Be silent. And you will eventually wake up to do something again… and perhaps, be more charged than ever.

– Surround yourself with achievers. Avoid shirkers. If you continue to encourage people doing mindless activities, you’ll never come out of the endless black hole of boredom.

– Keep alternating between two activities – a passive and an active one. So if you choose to read to fight boredom, take on another activity like writing to counter it.

– Get impulsive. Don’t try to live your life constantly by schedule. Do something that was not meant to be in your plan-of-the-day schedule. As long as it does not inconvenience anyone, it’s fine.

– Connect with an old friend. You are sure to reconnect with some forgotten aspects of yourself, which could inspire you at this stage of your life.
