Pathankot Admin gears up to deal with the traffic in festival season

Pathankot deputy commissioner (DC) Sukhvinder Singh and SSP RK Bakshi on Wednesday discussed the plans to deal with the traffic problems around the corner in the coming festival days with their junior colleagues and mediapersons today. The suggestions were rolled down by the mediapersons and ways were suggested to ensure smooth traffic in the crowd full markets.

The mediapersons asked SSP to tame people who violate traffic rules on the one-way routes by pressing influence on the traffic cops. They said that cops on duty should be pulled if anyone manages to cross the one-way traffic, which caused huge traffic jams in the city.

The importance of yellow line for parking was also discussed and the DC was asked to order a strict action on the wrongly parked cars and vehicles.

The Pathankot DC said he would urge locals to be responsible in behaving on the roads. SSP Bakshi assured that he would ensure that his cops did not allow one-way traffic violations.
