Mahindra & Mahindra that teased the sketch image of the XUV Aero concept a few days back, unveiled this today at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016. With inputs from Mahindra-owned car design company – Pininfarina – the car has been designed entirely by Mahindra’s Indian design team, says the company.

If it goes into production, Mahindra XUV Aero concept will be the first mass market coupe design-inspired SUV in the country. Other coupe-like SUVs available in the Indian market are from luxury carmakers like BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

The coupe-styled XUV Aero offers four driving modes – Race, Off-road, Street and Sport.

The Mahindra XUV Aero concept also offers the latest communication and connectivity features. The SUV comes equipped with an embedded telecommunication module and a high-resolution touchscreen to control the infotainment system settings. The SUV also gets mult-zone climate control and on-board vehicle system functions.l

Besides the XUV Aero concept, the home-grown automaker is also displaying customized versions of Mahindra TUV300 & KUV100, e2O with wireless technology and Verito electric.

Also on display is the India-bound Tivoli SUV that is developed by Mahindra-owned Korean SUV maker SsangYong. Upon its launch, the Mahindra-SsangYong Tivoli will rival Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano and other vehicles in the growing compact SUV segment.
