Islamic State or Isis has named London, Berlin and Rome as its next targets in a new video released on 4 April. The video shows monuments from the cities, including the Houses of Parliament in London, the Colosseum in Rome.

The video called Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands was released by a group called Al Wa’ad Media Production, which activities in Raqqa claim support Isis. The video includes a simulation of the Eiffel Tower falling and burning Union Jack next to the Houses of Parliament.

It also features shots of the 9/11 attacks in New York and the Stade de France after the Paris terror attacks. A number of killings, beheadings and Daesh fighters undertaking combat drills were also shown in the video.

An English-speaking militant says: “The soldiers went out to the ground and streets of Paris and killed the kuffars (non-believers). This invasion was just a cautionary message to the nations of the cross.”

He continued: “If it was Paris yesterday, today Brussels, Allah knows where it will be tomorrow. Maybe it will be in London, in Berlin, or in Rome.”

The militant also warns the Nations of the Cross that they have very few options. He said they should either “join Islam or pay tribute or face the war and it is, as you know, shedding your blood and displacing you from behind your back.”

Gilles Kepel, a French expert on jihadism, told The Independent that Isis; propaganda message had become “muddled”. He said: “Its communication is in crisis. These indiscriminate attacks have fallen on multi-cultural cities with exactly the kind of Muslim populations they are trying to recruit.”

He continued: “But these actions have not brought Muslims together [behind Isis]. Far from it.”

The newspaper said that terrorism experts believe that the latest attack in Brussels shows that Daesh is lashing out as it suffers military defeats in its territories and has its top leaders killed by Western air strikes.

One of the Brussels bombers, Brahim el-Bakraoui is believed to have written a note saying he was “in a rush” and feeling “hunted” by security forces. The note showed panic and disorganisation, the newspaper said.
