Lexus NX 300h Launched In India

Prices Start At ₹ 53.18 Lakh

Lexus India today announced the price of its newly launched NX 300h hybrid SUV which will retail at an initial price starting from ₹ 53.18 lakh (ex-showroom India). The company had announced the launch of the new Lexus NX 300h last month on November 17, 2017, but, back then, it did not reveal the price of the car. In fact, the company has launched the new Lexus NX 300h at a much lesser price than we had expected. The SUV will be offered in two variants – the regular NX 300h and the sportier NX 300h F-Sport that comes with a price tag of ₹ 55.58 lakh (ex-showroom, India). However, deliveries for the car will only commence next year, from March 2018.

Announcing the price of the new Lexus NX 300h, Akitoshi Takemura, President, Lexus India, said, “Keeping in mind our young guests, we have priced the NX 300h at an attractive price point. The design and engineering of this vehicle absolutely delights and now the pricing will excite a whole new category of guests in India. Our price approach for the NX 300h is in accord with Government’s vision and we call it ‘one nation, one price’ making it advantageous for our guests. Keeping in mind the NX 300h’s launch price, this is indeed the most opportune time to acquire a Lexus.”

Under the hood, the Lexus NX 300h is powered 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor that produces a combined output of 194 bhp. The motor comes paired with an electronically controlled CVT unit and the car runs on pure electric or petrol or a combination of both. The NX 300h delivers an ARAI certified mileage of 18.32 kmpl.

Visually, the new Lexus NX 300h comes with the futuristic and sharp styling that we have been seeing in the modern Lexus cars. Up front, the car gets the company’s signature Lexus grille and the logo comes with a blue backlight to signify its hybrid nature, flanked by LED headlamps and independent LED daytime running lamps below them. The flared wheel arches get plastic cladding and there are side skirts and roof rails as well. At the rear, you get sharp wraparound LED tail lamps, roof-mounted spoiler and a rear diffuser as well.

The cabin of the SUV comes with features like a well-equipped cabin with spacious and comfortable rear passenger seats that can be reclined, folded flat or brought back upright at the push of a button. The cabin gets smart leather upholstery, a panoramic glass roof, wireless charging, heads-up display, and also a 10.3-inch multi-information touchscreen system that offers access to numerous vehicle features such as the audio, climate and navigation systems.

Other features include 8-way power adjustable and ventilated front seats, dual-zone independent climate control, drive mode select (eco, normal, sport, sport +, custom), rain sensing wipers and more. On the safety front, the Lexus NX 300h comes with offerings like 8 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brakes, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, 360-degree panoramic view monitor, and a rearview camera with back guide monitor among others.

The Lexus NX 300h will be available at the company’s ‘Lexus Guest Experience Centres’ which are located in Mumbai, New Delhi, Gurugram and Bengaluru, and Lexus authorized service corners in Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi. In India, the car competes with the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3 and BMW X1.
