Karan Johar’s Kapoor & Sons music a success!

Karan Johar’s films are known for their melodious soundtracks. ‘Kar gayi chull’, the first track from his latest production – Kapoor & Sons, is already a success.

The second song from the movie, titled ‘Bolna’, releases on February 24. And director Shakun Batra hopes to live up to the “high standards” of music set by Karan’s previous films.

“All the projects that Karan’s company has been associated with are known for their soulful songs. I am confident that our latest number will be a feather in the cap,” says Shakun, while revealing that the track comes at a point in the film where Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt’s characters are getting to know each other.

“Also, it is Alia’s favourite song from the film. Plus, Arijit (Singh) has sung it. So, we have all the reasons to deliver another hit track,” says the director, adding that the song is also “an ode to the much-loved lip-synced songs of Bollywood”.

“At a time when songs that are lip-synced by actors are becoming a dying breed, we’ve shot the track partially in that manner. While one half has been shot in that style, the other half has footage from the film,” he says.
