Jaitley to release NDA vision document in Kerala on Saturday

Union Minister Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will release the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s vision document for Assembly elections in Kerala here on Saturday.

The vision document will encapsulate the front’s agenda for wholesome development of the State, according to Kummanam Rajasekharan, president of the state unit of the BJP.

He told newspersons here that Central leaders of the party led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkiah Naidu, Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani, will variously arrive here on campaign tours from early May.

The state unit of the party has laid out an exhaustive tour programme also for national president Amit Shah extending to over two weeks.

Prime Minister Modi will address five rallies between May 6 and 11 during when he will also speak in various functions in neighbouring Tamil Nadu which too goes to polls on May 16.

Modi will speak at Palakkad on May 6; Thiruvananthapuram on May 8; and Kasaragod, Alappuzha and Ernakulam on May 12 as per a tentative schedule.

Amit Shah too will address five rallies starting from May 1 (Sunday). Raj Nath Singh will be in the state May 6 and 7; Venkiah Naidu on May 8 and 9; and Smriti Irani on May 8, Rajasekharan said.

Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda will camp in the state for nine days from Friday. Other Central leaders/ministers expected here include External Affairs Minister Sushma Swraj; Commerce Minister Nirmala Seetharaman; Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar; and Minister of State for Road Transport Pon Radhakrishnan.
