Indian Idol Season 7 Back

India’s favourite and most popular singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’ is all set to come back with a new season this year. Last aired in 2012, ‘Indian Idol’ will be back by the end of this year on Sony Entertainment.

The reality show has had six seasons so far. According to an entertainment portal, the show now seems to be back from where it began. Popular singer Sonu Nigam and composer Anu Malik will mark their return on the show with the seventh season. The report further stated that the show will see a third judge too and the makers are negotiating with a leading Bollywood actress.

Abhijeet Sawant, Sandeep Acharya, Prashant Tamang, Sourabhee Debbarma, Sreeramchandra Mynampati and Vipul Mehta have been the winners of all six seasons respectively. ‘Indian Idol’ also came up with junior championships called ‘Indian Idol Junior’. Two seasons of it were aired on TV.

The first two seasons of this singing reality show were hosted by Aman Varma and Mini Mathur. Aman was replaced by Hussain Kuwajerwala in season 3. Hussain was then joined by Meinyang Chang in season 4 and Abhijeet Sawant in season 5.
