Diwali which is known as one of the religious festival, which includes lots of rangoli decorations using variety of different colors is also known as festival of lights and happiness, festival of removing darkness etc. This festival is celebrated all over India and also outside the india mostly by Hindus and this time, the Diwali is coming and will be celebrated on 19th of October 2017. It is the festival containing five days which includes Dhanteras, Naraka Chaturdasi, Amavasya, Kartika Shudda Padyami, Yama Dvitiya or Bhai Dooj. The first day starts with the Dhanteras and at the end Bhai Duj is celebrated. It is celebrated by all people by decorating their homes, temples with colorful lights, candles, diyas, fireworks , distributing different gifts to family and friends and sending cards and wishes to friends and family, eating delicious foods and doing many other such activities.

Naraka Chaturdashi (Chhoti Diwali) Date: at Wednesday, 18th of October 2017.
Lakshmi Puja (Main Diwali) Date: at Thursday, 19th of October 2017.
Bali Pratipada or Govardhan Puja Date: at Friday, 20th of October 2017.
Bhaiduj Date: at Saturday, 21st of November 2017.
According to the mythology in the Hindu religion, Diwali plays a very important role in life of a human to have a fresh start and has many reasons to celebrate. The Hindu people have a belief that what they do on this festival, the same they will do the rest of the year. So, they try to do good work on this day, do more shopping on Dhanteras, lightening each corner of your house using candles, lights and diyas, distributes sweets to your relatives and friends and then offering Puja to Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha in order to pray to get peace and prosperity. The Five days that are celebrated in this whole Diwali celebration has some significance which is discussed below:
#Dhanteras
At this auspicious day, people use to buy utensils as well as gold to their home in the form of Dhana. It generally means that coming of wealth into your home and this will be celebrated on the every first day which is 17th of October.
#Naraka Chaturdashi (Chhoti Diwali)
It is celebrated in order to show the triumph of good power over the one which is evil or over the darkness. On this day, people used to wake up early morning take bath using aromatic oil and wear new clothes. After doing this Puja they burn crackers and other fireworks.
#Lakshmi Puja (Main Diwali)
It is the main day for Diwali celebration which is finally completed by doing Laxmi Puja and Ganesh Puja. After doing this, people light diyas made from clay on the walls of their home, streets in order to welcome the prosperity and well being into their homes.
#Govardhan Puja Date
It is celebrated in the form of Govardhan Puja all over North India. On this day, all Hindu husbands give gifts to their wives and celebrate this day.
#Bhaiduj
It is the festival of brothers and sisters in order to symbolize their love and affection for each other. At this day, the sisters used to put “Tilak” on their brother’s forehead with an Arti and exchanging gifts also.
