Air India flight makes emergency landing in Mumbai, all passengers safe

An Air India flight made an emergency landing today at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport due to smoke in the undercarriage.

Timely action by pilots of the AI620 Hyderabad-Mumbai flight following the incident saved the lives of 120 passengers on board.

Emergency chutes were deployed immediately after smoke was noticed in the undercarriage.

Following the incident, one runway of the airport has been closed and repair work is underway.
