We always knew of ingredients like honey, milk, cucumber, rose water, etc for their skin benefits. However, there are other food products too that you can use for your everyday beauty regimen.

Here are a few food-based facial masks that you didn’t know about.

Potato and curd mask
Take one potato and mash it well, add half a tablespoon of curd. Then mix one spoon of the mashed potato and the curd well. Apply it on your face and let it remain for 15 minutes and after that wash your face with cold water. Potato helps you get rid of tan and sunburns.

Oatmeal Mask

Mix oatmeal as you do for your breakfast with some milk and water. Keep the mixture aside for a while so that the ingredients get soaked well for some time, then apply it on your face. Let it stay for 15 minutes and wash it with cold water. This masks the skin glow and smooth texture.

Tomato Mask

Take one tomato and mix it with three to four drops of lemon juice, and then add half a tablespoon of dried lemon peel powder in a bowl. Mix all of them together and apply it on your face, keep it for 10 minutes and wash it with lukewarm water. It is extremely beneficial for oily skin.

Carrot & honey winter mask
Blend a carrot, and make it into a fine paste. Take two tbsps of the paste with one tbsp of honey and mix both these ingredients well. Apply this mask and wash it off after 10 minutes. It helps to clear the skin of marks and also battles dry skin.
