Putting stop to all the speculations, a leading English daily confirmed that Shraddha Kapoor will be the female lead for Half Girlfriend.
Names of starlets like Parineeti Chopra, Kriti Sanon were assumed to be in the consideration to play the character. But according to the reports the petite, ABCD 2 actress has bagged the role.
Based on Chetan Bhagat novel of the same name, Half Girlfriend is directed by Mohit Suri. Suri has already directed Shraddha in Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain.
Shraddha will collaborate with Aditya Rpy Kapur on screen.
This is the first time Shraddha Kapoor will portray an affluent Delhi girl.
