Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday announced a list of 242 candidates of the ‘Grand Alliance’ for the Bihar assembly polls.
“We have tried to ensure representation of all sections of the society. We took our time to decide the candidates,” Nitish Kumar said in a press conference in Patna.
“Everybody, even Laluji agreed that I should announce the list of the candidates,” the Bihar chief minister said.
The Bihar CM also dismissed reports of rift in the alliance.
“There are no complaints within the alliance. We want to make it clear that development is our biggest slogan for the polls,” Nitish Kumar said.
When asked about Bihar being 21st on the “ease of doing business” list for states, Nitish Kumar said that “it’s a deliberate attempt to show Bihar in poor light”.
Nitish Kumar also said that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s comment on reservation issue clearly shows that he thinks that present status of the reservation policy is not right.
“RSS chief’s remark is dangerous and can’t be accepted,” Nitish said.
The Bihar CM also took a dig at the BJP, saying it is being controlled by the RSS.
“BJP is nothing but a political unit of the RSS. RSS is like Supreme Court for BJP,” Nitish said.
