Move over, Salman Khan: Varun Dhawan to play lead role in ‘Judwaa’ sequel

Actor Varun Dhawan has been roped in for the lead role in the sequel of his filmmaker father David Dhawan’s 1997 hit comedy Judwaa.

The 28-year-old Badlapur star revealed the news on social media by sharing his look from the upcoming movie.

Wearing a black tee and a blue jacket with its collar raised, Varun sports a mischievous expression in the photo.

He posted on Twitter:

The sequel, which will also have David in the director’s chair, stars Varun in dual roles. This is the second time the father-son duo are collaborating. They had worked together in 2014 romantic-comedy Main Tera Hero.

The original Judwaa featured superstar Salman Khan in double roles, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha.
