The Joint Investigating Team (JIT) of Pakistan on Thursday questioned 16 witnesses including Punjab SP Salwinder Singh, his jeweller friend Rajesh Verma and cook Madan Gopal in connection with the Pathankot terror attack case. All the three were kidnapped by JeM terrorists on the intervening night of December 31 and January 1 before they snaked into Pathankot airbase and unleashed a terror strike.
Pakistani investigators were satisfied and more or less agreed that Pathankot attackers were from Pakistan.
The NIA has shared the DNA reports of the four neutralised terrorists with the JIT and has asked the Pakistani team to match the DNA with family members and share the reports with the agency.
