Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has played a lover boy and action hero, will be seen as a Fan boy in his upcoming flick ‘Fan’. But King Khan will don an absolutely new avatar for his next project with director Anand L. Rai.
Shah Rukh will be playing the role of a dwarf for his venture with the director of films like of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and ‘Raanjhanaa’. Confirming the news, an excited Rai told PTI, “It (story) sounds it is just about dwarf but it is much more than that. It is a much taller film. It is a very entertaining and interesting love story.”
The 44-year-old director also revealed that the film will have a decent number of songs. “I will be fool if I have Shah Rukh Khan in my film and have no romance and songs,” he added.
Rai was all praise for the ‘Dilwale’ actor and called him “gutsy actor” and “intelligent man.”
“Shah Rukh is a gutsy actor. He always takes challenges. It is a delight to have him in the film. We both have liking for each other. We want to work together and we are on that process. He is a very intelligent man. He makes you feel so important and responsible so it is fun to work with him. He was very happy to hear the story,” the agency quoted the director as saying.
However, the female lead for the film is yet to be finalised.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh will be next seen in Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Fan’ which is slated to release on April 15.
