Two Indian crew members of Jet Airways were injured at the Brussels airport — where twin explosions a short while ago killed at least 13 people and caused injuries to 35 others. Both have been taken to the hospital, the private carrier has said.
A statement from the private carrier issued earlier read, “We are aware of the bomb explosions at Brussels airport. Jet Airways is making all efforts to confirm the status of all its staff and guests. As per first information, the Jet Airways aircraft in Brussels are safe.”
The Ministry of Eternal Affairs has also said no injuries have been reported.
Brussels is the European hub for Jet Airways, where four of its aircraft touch down daily. Three of the flights had arrived and another was pending today when the blasts tore through the departure hall of the airport.
The rest of the flights will be cancelled, the airlines said.
A high alert has been declared in the city after yet another another blast was reported from a subway. The airport has already been evacuated and all flights cancelled.
