The second test between India and South Africa ended in a draw Wednesday after a fourth consecutive day of play was washed out due to rain.
The final day’s play was called off after an inspection at 11.30 am local time with several sections of the outfield still wet from the continuous rain during this test match, as well as the preceding week.
Put in to bat, South Africa scored 214 in its first innings and India replied with an unbeaten 80 at the end of the first day’s play.
India leads the four-match series 1-0 after winning the first test at Mohali by 108 runs.
South Africa won a preceding five-game one-day International series 3-2 and a three-game Twenty20 series 2-0.
