Overview

Honda CB Unicorn 160 is a new machine by two-wheeler king, Honda. It was launched in India on 18th December, 2014. It is being offered in two variants – Standard and CBS-equipped. If we talk about its exterior, it inherited many features from CB Trigger along with some tweaks to enhance its looks. The CBS variant is offered at Rs. 74,400 approximately which is bit higher than its standard variant, which is available for INR 69,400.

Exterior

Honda CB Unicorn 160 holds a conservative design and its styling is inspired by the CX-01 concept which was announced in Auto-EXPO this year. It has similar headlight cluster as seen in the CB Trigger but it get a refreshed H-shaped LED tail lights to make it different from Trigger. It has a 12-litre fuel tank at front with a Honda badge on it, all-digital instrument console, well styled saree guard, black plastic cladding, floating side cowls and a chrome-finished muffler.

Dimensions & Weight

The length of Honda CB Unicorn 160 is measured as 2045mm, width as 757mm, height as 1060mm along with a wheelbase and kerb weight as 1324mm and 135 kg.

Instrument Console

The well-designed instrument console is equipped with a digital speedometer, a tachometer, twin trip meters, a digital fuel gauge and an odometer.

Engine & Mileage

Honda CB Unicorn 160 comes equipped with 162.71cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine with Honda Eco Technology (HET). It generates a maximum power of 14.5 Bhp at 8000 rpm and maximum torque of 14.61 NM at 6000 rpm. It is mated to 5-speed manual transmission and it is set to reach a top speed of 106 kmph (claimed). The certified mileage claimed by Honda is 62 kmpl.

Brakes and Suspension

The bike rides on 80/100 front tyre and 110/80 rear tyre with the stopping power provided by a 240mm Disc brake at front and 130mm drum brakes at rear end. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded Hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.

Variants

There are two variants available in Honda CB Unicorn 160 – Standard variant which comes with disc and drum brakes. CBS variant which comes equipped with combi-brake system.

Shades and Price

Honda CB Unicorn 160 comes in total four beautiful colors including Pearl Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Geny Grey Metallic and Sunbeam White. The company has offered the standard variant at Rs. 69,350 and CBS variant is priced at Rs. 74,414 both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
